FlexiDAO is co-creating the global standard for 24/7 Carbon-free Energy alongside other frontrunners like CEBA, CIBI, Linux Foundation Energy, and Energy Tag. FlexiDAO is also a founding signatory of the 24/7 Carbon-free Energy Compact.

The teachings in this Academy have resulted from several years of research, experience, and iterative feedback from partners and clients worldwide.

The Academy is supported by Eurelectric, the federation of the European electricity industry.

About the courses

This Academy is broken down into three levels, each specifically created to add a new layer of understanding to the previous.

Level 0

Carving the path to Carbon-aware Energy procurement

This foundational course will provide you with knowledge and experience of the current renewable energy market. We will look at the history of renewable energy procurement and the market context surrounding a more carbon-aware approach.

Level 1

Introducing 24/7 Carbon-free Energy

In the next level, we will focus specifically on what 24/7 CFE is, explaining the reputational, economic, and environmental benefits it can bring to businesses. We will outline the practical steps any organization can take to adopt a 24/7 CFE strategy and reduce energy-related emissions.

Level 2

Deep Dives

In this final level, we get practical, providing more detailed information on how you can start implementing some of the steps outlined in Level 1. We offer more technical details on pitching 24/7 CFE using granular energy data and carbon-free energy procurement products.

Simone Accornero

Simone has developed his cleantech start-up to become a global leader in providing blockchain-based solutions for the energy sector - attracting clients and partners such as Google and Microsoft. He is a key figure in the 24/7 Carbon-free Energy space, known for his active role in developing new standards and guidelines for the UN 24/7 CFE Compact, the Linux Energy Foundation, and the EnergyTag initiative.

Joan Collell

Joan has experience leading a high-growth energy startup and over five years of working within the technology industry. His expertise excels in business strategy, sales, and marketing, which he adopted from working with global brands like Bain & Co., Google, and Henkel.

Giacomo Bravacini

Giacomo has an academic background in Civil and Environmental Engineering (MSc) and is always at the forefront regarding environmental initiatives and clean energy. He blends his technical knowledge with a strong passion for marketing which he developed during his professional career in the heat pump industry and SaaS. Giacomo recently contributed to an IEA report on 24/7 clean grids and participated in the World Hydrogen Congress as a speaker

Eloise Moench

Eloise has worked in several high-growth start-ups and scale-ups focusing on sustainability and renewable energy, including Entech Unicorn Octopus Energy. She is now FlexiDAO’s Energy Programme Manager, overseeing the implementation of all educational material on 24/7 CFE. She is a marketing and research expert with a MA from the University of Amsterdam specializing in Climate Ethics.
